The subject of this thesis is the design and assessment of steel construction of the shopping center in Chrudim in Pardubice region. Business center was designed as a three-aisled with a common space in the middle. Each hall has a platform 48.0 meters x 63.0 meters, shared space is a ground plan the shape of an equilateral triangle with sides of 48.0 meters. The construction of halls in the transverse direction comprises three trusses. The two beams are to span 20.0 meters and a span of one to 8.0 meters. Clearance height ranges from 8.0 to 10.0 m. The main structure is made of rectangular hollow sections, tubes of circular profiles and will be awarded. The axial distance trusses is 7.0 meters.

The aim of this master´s thesis was design and analysis of a steel supporting structure of a building for business and administration purposes in Ostrava. It includes an assessment of the main load-bearing construction elements and the selected connections. The thesis also contains the design documentation of the building and compares two different variants of the steel construction design.

Zuzana (23:46): Project is rekonstruction of building number 24 and new building on space of building number 25 (technical condition of this building doesn´t alowed any use) in area of former bata´s factory in Zlín. Big importancy of this area mirrors in way of redefining urbanism and character of reconstruction of n.24. New building recpect this situation with own volume and heigh, but look of the building shows its new presents and high-tech character of functions inside. Project creates a space for three parts of Business centre- teaching centres for actual companies, universal spaces to rent whith laboratories and offices and science centre for Tomas Bata University. Area contains also undergroun parking, restaurant and another retail spaces. Idea is to create atractiv space for work, interaction and relax-all very important factor for difficult psychical work.

The design of the study follows the pre-diploma urbanistic-architectural study solved in the last semester. The area is divided into three units. In the northern part there is a residential development, a playground, an owner‘s house and an airport runway with a hangar. In the middle part, manufacturing is proposed and in the last part there are cultivation areas. The subject of this plan is a more detailed development of the manufacturing portion. There is a proposed administrative building which houses refreshments, showrooms, agricultural equipment garage, workshop, offices and accommodation. In addition, 23 multi-purpose production / storage halls are proposed.

Man and the City - philosophical and cultural-anthropological aspects of the problem

This dissertation thesis focuses on the philosophical aspects of the relationship of Man toward the city. The main methods of the work are interpretation of texts connected with the city and a philosophically inspired analysis of the bond of Man with the city as a space and time constructed, inhabited and shared by humans, and with its experienced phenomena. First of all it presents the method by which the theme of the city has been dealt with by scholars from the field of philosophy and other social sciences. We find the theme of the city in the works of a whole range of philosophers: For example, it served J. A. Comenius as a symbol of human situation in life, Michel Foucault as a point of departure for his political-philosophical analysis of power, and Emmanuel Lévinas for his discourse on culpability, punishment and responsibility. In order to understand the phenomenon of the city, observations from sociologists, architects, town planners and historians of architecture are also important. Moreover, in their works it is possible to find overlaps into philosophical thought, for example Bernard Lepetit contributes to the theme of the temporality of the city with the concept of the "trace", whilst Jan Gehl, through his discourse on the perception of environment and the challenge of applying a human...
